Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Our party of 4 ordered 2 BLTs, Tuna Sandwiches and French Dip. The food was fresh and pretty amazing, very large portions and we all loved our choices. (this was posted prior to new ownership that now has options for brunch) We stopped in for brunch but missed the breakfast menu cutoff so had to order from the lunch menu, it would be great if they offered "breakfast/brunch" until they close at 2pm. Though we could not have brunch food, we ordered the mimosa's which were amazing! We sat on the patio so got to enjoy the fun Fruita weekend vibe! 9/4/25: Came back and found there is new ownership- they were open for dinner and it was excellent! I had the bolognese and my son had the steak dinner. Cheesecake for dessert was delicious!Chef came to our table to make sure we all enjoyed our meal. 5/5!"
"Great spot for breakfast (served until 5 every day!) and lunch. Portions were great and food was flavorful. I had the chile relleno with eggs and potatoes- saucy, cheesy, slightly spicy- so good. Potatoes were crispy on the edges. The grilled cheese had green chile and cheese crisped on the outside. The kid’s menu portion for my son was huge and we brought home leftovers. Would highly recommend checking this place out!"
"James rocks the universe, great food! Laidback vibe and home cooked meals!"
"We stopped here for lunch after a morning visiting Colorado National Monument. It was warm enough that we ate outdoors. Very good food, friendly service, pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommended."
"Friendly local place. Owner works there regularly as well. Great menu items. Very diverse. Southwest twists on favorites song with some native American ones as well. Great stop for anyone looking for brunch style and home cooked goodness. Highly recommend to try. Great location and staff"
"Best food we have had in a minute! We had their dinner tonight while celebrating two birthdays. The staff were amazing and the chef even came out and talked to us! We will 100% be returning. Also if you choose to come during dinner hours, you NEED to try their dessert! So good"
"The restaurant in this location has been reborn excellent! The prices are reasonable without secret charges. They are open for dinner Thurs, Fri, & Sat and this is when Chef Montoya really pulls out the stops and makes food worth getting. This man is a total gem to have in a town like Fruita and he brings some real skills to the table (pun intended). I mean, locally sourced and house dry aged beef, egad! Also, you'll find out that his pies are a true secret weapon. If you have never been here, go. If you have been to the old place and quit going, go back. I've never been sorry that I ate here."
"It was crowded and bustling on Saturday morning but we didn’t need to wait for a table. The food was delicious and came out in a reasonable amount of time. The servings are huge and you are likely to take away some for another meal. Staff was busy but friendly."
